Guiyang Experimental School of the Affiliated High School of the Peking University is in possession of the Weiming Education Group. It occupies an area of 150 mu (mu is a Chinese traditional unit of measures for area approximately equal to 741 m2) with a total floor area of 75,000 m2. It is a state-owned and private boarding school of high starting point, high standard and high quality that provides primary, junior high and senior high school education. This school is designed to accommodate 4,000 students.
The Weiming Education Group established the Guiyang Weiming International School in 2011. The school located in the Poly Spring Town which is awarded National cultural village. It consisted of primary and junior school, including 26 classes, 962 students who came from Grade one to Grade eight in total. This school holds advanced education thought in order to satisfy the requirement of students and their parents who ask for high quality of education. There were 3,000 students who applied to this school in 2012, however, only 300 students were considered at an excellent level to receive offers. Moreover, this school cooperates with the local government and media to create education opportunities for some excellent students who come from poor families. The school will establish high school in September, 2014.
Guiyang Experimental School of the Affiliated High School of the Peking University follows the Peking University’s philosophy of “Dare to explore the new things”, and takes the responsibility for “Develop our country by Education”. The school leveraged the advantages of Chinese and American Education which not only focuses on basic knowledge, but also emphasizes students’ comprehensive ability. It aims to educate and develop the students into “modern elites with soul of Chinese tradition and an internationalized vision”.
Our excellent teaching staffs who are working in the school came from all around the country. Additionally, some of them came from the U.S. The school obtained a lot of awareness from students’ parents and local society, for all of our teaching staffs hold the belief of “work hard and educate with love”. Moreover, our principal of the school Mr. Xu Yanghua is one of the 100 National Outstanding School Principals, principal of one of the schools granted with the opportunity to make principal personal recommendation in the independent recruitment of the Peking University, the former principal of the Henan branch of the Affiliated High School of the Peking University, master of the Peking University, and graduate of the doctoral course program of the Beijing Normal University.
