Weiming Education, leader of the private basic education in China.
The Weiming Education Group was founded in 1999. It is a professional organization engaging in the research, investment and management of basic education.
The Group’s origin traces back to the Affiliated High School of Peking University. Leveraging the high-quality education resources of Peking University and famous education institutions at home and abroad, the Group inherits the Peking University’s philosophy of “all-inclusive way”, implements the teaching philosophies of the Affiliated High School of Peking University which placed students as the main body in teaching process, focuses on how to help students to enhance their ability to master basic knowledge, to promote students’ creative ability and practical ability in learning, to foster students’ features, to develop students’ comprehensive ability. It sets as its purpose to lead in the private basic education in China, insisting “Let the parents feel satisfied with their children’s performance, let the children grow happily and let the teachers achieve steady development”, and keeps exploring with innovation in the new ideas and patterns of internationalized school management in order to provide high quality and internationalized basic education for Chinese students.
The Group established seven “one- stop” schools and approximately twenty kindergartens across the country, including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan and Guiyang. These “One-Stop” schools consist of primary school, middle school, high school and International cooperation programs. There are near 25,000 students and teaching staffs in the schools of the Group.
The Group makes steady progress in building “the Weiming Education” system. A number of Weiming graduates received offers from top class Universities, in terms of Cambridge University, Hong Kong University, Peking University and Tsinghua University. The Group obtained good reputation due to its high quality of education.
The Group has established a long-term international education partnership with more than 20 schools and education institutions from a dozen countries including the United States, The United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, and South Korea. Internationalized education has become the strategic direction of Weiming Education’s operation management. It has organized several international projects, including: Weiming Guangzhou School’s International High School Class - US St. Paul’s High School ‘ 2+1’ Program, Weiming Shenzhen School’s International High School Class - St. Mary’s High School ‘ 2+2’ Program, and Weiming Chendu School’s Sino - US High School AP Program. At the same time, the group has also opened the PYP Primary School International Class and MYP Middle School International Class.
The Weiming Young Children Teaching Programs carry forward the idea of “Starting from age zero and accompanying the entire life”. It has built a complete curriculum system that “combines all arts and sciences”. The Group has become a domestically well-known and leading specialized community and pre-school education service institution.
The Weiming Group has become one of the most influential education institutions in China.
