Weiming Special talent training Courses:
Music: zither, piano, band, choir, dance, guitar
Fine arts: Traditional Chinese painting, painting, cartoon, Chinese calligraphy, ceramics
Sports: Chinese physical arts, football, basketball, table tennis
Science and Technology: natural science and environmental protection, computer, astronomy, geography
Social science: management, psychology
Students Unions and Organizations: Hip-hop club, track-and-field team, students newspaper
We aim to improve students special talents and comprehensive qualities in order to educate and develop the students into “modern elites with a soul of the Chinese tradition and international vision.
Weiming Oral English Course：
We have three oral English classes per week that are taught by American teachers. Weiming Oral English Course aims to foster students pronunciation and intonation, and increases their interests in studying English. We also set up an experienced course which simulates the TOFEL and SAT exams. Teachers can design different teaching strategies and methods according to different classes, while we divide students into different classes by their English level. Thus, teachers could pay more attention to every student, especially those who are not good at English.
Weiming Activity Curriculum:
Our school holds a series of activities every year, in terms of International Festival, Art Festival, Sports Festival, and Technology Festival. In addition, we hold “ Weiming Star” award ceremony every term. These activities were designed to develop students talents and interests, and motivate students self-autonomy.
Weiming Vision Extended Course:
Weiming students are required to watch 30 minutes of TV programs which were carefully selected, including military affairs, technology invention, history, politics, and English cartoons. It focuses on improving students knowledge,broadening their horizon, and developing their independent thinking ability.
Weiming Chinese Physical Arts and Physique Course:
We have two classes of P.E. per week which mainly focuses on track-and-field and ball games. We also provide two classes of Chinese Physical Arts courses for boys and two classes of physique or dancing courses for girls.
